The roads are nominated for national status as a National Scenic Byway or All-American Road by a state, Native American tribe, or a federal land management agency after the road has been designated by one of those agencies as a Scenic Byway.Currently, ten Scenic Byways or All-American Roads in Oregon have been granted national recognition.
