Fishing the World: Three decades of global travel in pursuit of exotic fish in wild places

Thirty years ago, in middle age, Douglas and Robin Wise decided to devote their future holidays to seeing the world. Determined to be much more than passive sightseers, they agreed to develop a new-found interest in angling by travelling with fishing rods as well as cameras, and casting their flies, lures and baits into some of the wildest rivers and lakes on five continents. Their adventures have given them a novel perspective on everywhere from Iceland to the Falklands and from Argentina to Zimbabwe, and introduced them to a host of colourful peoples and their lifestyles.
